WORLD WAR 4
World War IV – Street Theatre Workshop and Performance with Gjorgji Rizeski
Living in a world engulfed in perpetual conflict, where the specter of war looms over every individual, where we find ourselves in a continuous state of uncertainty and vulnerability.
The question is: How bad do things have to get before you will take action? Where is your proverbial line in the sand? Have you considered exploring and addressing such thought-provoking questions through the art of theatre? Are you intrigued by the idea of participating in street theatre performances?
Through this immersive workshop led by the esteemed Gjorgji Rizeski, you will have the opportunity to delve deep into the themes surrounding World War IV. You will not only explore the nuances of conflict, resilience, and humanity but also contribute to the creation of impactful street performances that resonate with audiences on a profound level.
Join us in Ferizaj for an unforgettable experience where creativity meets activism, and where your voice as a young artist can help shape narratives that inspire change. Embrace the power of theatre, seize the moment, and be a part of a transformative journey that transcends boundaries and ignites minds.
FTF is inviting young artists, actors, directors, performers, musicians, choreographers, and dramaturgs to join the Street Theatre Workshop and Performance led by Gjorgji Rizeski, centered around the theme of World War IV.
The workshop will take place during the 54th edition of the Theatre Festival in Ferizaj. Participants will work on creating several street performances as a culmination of the workshop. This call is open to young artists aged between 18 and 30 from Kosovo, Albania, and North Macedonia. Travel expenses, accommodation, and a stipend will be provided for each artist.
The World War 4 performance speaks, first of all, about love. The actors in it, are performing as the people who are casualties of war, actually to prevent the war from happening. They came back to this time, from different countries, to give us the last warning... to tell us something that we can't see in our everyday lives.
The performance happens in seven different languages, and ten other stories, but in the name of the same mission... Save the earth from distraction.
It took place during the festival Teatrove in Ferizaj, Kosova, in its 54th edition. The festival has one of the biggest traditions, and it is very well managed. The director Rizeski managed to do workshops alongside the rehearsals that took place for the performance to happen.
